Story
Street is founded by James Grummett, his story brings lived experience of neurodivergence and working-class resilience, which strongly shapes our commitment to inclusion and creativity.
James Grummett, is a creative educator, artist, and boxing coach with over 20 years’ experience in arts education, fitness, and community engagement. Originally from Sunderland and a Fine Art graduate of Newcastle University, James’s work is deeply shaped by his lived experience of neurodivergence and working-class resilience, grounding his commitment to inclusion, creativity, and social impact.
James has trained in boxing since his teenage years and has volunteered for over a decade as a coach at a local amateur club. Beyond the ring, he’s brought boxing into schools as a focused intervention, particularly supporting SEND and Alternative Provision (AP) students. By blending the discipline, focus, and confidence-building of non-contact boxing with creative expression, James helps young people discover new ways to learn, regulate, and grow.
Before founding STREET, James worked as an Assistant Director within a Multi-Academy Trust, where he saw first-hand how many students were slipping through the cracks of traditional education. That experience ignited a vision: to create a Space To Reflect Empower Express & Thrive, helping every child, regardless of background or ability.
Through STREET, James now leads dynamic programmes, training, and workshops that fuse art, movement, and wellbeing. The work stands out for its authenticity, energy, and purpose, engaging schools, communities, and corporate clients in fresh, meaningful ways that celebrate creativity and unlock human potential.

Amanda Grummett joins Street as the Artistic, Heritage & Cultural Assistant. A mother to two boys and a lifelong creative, Amanda’s connection to the arts runs deep, from illustration and interior design to her academic roots in Archaeology at Lampeter University and Conservation of Historic Buildings at the University of Bath. Her fascination with classically inspired architecture across the Southwest blends beautifully with her hands-on approach to creativity, exploring nature through casting and fine art techniques as tools for learning and expression.
